Region 4 Announces Track and Swimming Scholarships
TAAF Region 4 recently announced two new academic scholarships available to Region 4 track and field and swimming participants.  Each scholarship is worth $1000 and will be awarded annually at the  respective region meets.  Application and all documentation is due by June 27 to the contact information listed in the scholarship packets.

Wally Bohannan Memorial Golf Tournament
Please mark Friday, May 2, 2008 on your calendar for the Wally Bohannan Memorial Golf Tournament at Firewheel Golf Park in Garland.  Garland Parks and Recreation staff is hosting this event to raise college funds for Wally’s two daughters. Wally was the Aquatics Manager in Garland until he was killed in a vehicle accident in August, 2007.  Tournament prizes will include first through third place team awards, a $10,000 hole in one contest, putting contest, longest drive contest, and numerous other giveaway prizes.  Lunch is included in the fee.  Please support Wally’s family by registering to play at http://www.wallybohannan.com/.  Mail-in registration forms are available online and can be mailed to:
